I remember in the 1950s staying overnight in the Hotel Muehlebach with my dad.  We had made a trip to Kansas City on the Missouri Pacific Eagle to spend a couple of days shopping.
Text on back says the cost of the hotel was ,300,000. It is still located in Kansas City, now operated by the Marriott.
